My work in artistic management has taught me how to build constructive dialogue between stakeholders and harmonize different perspectives toward a common goal. I thrive in mission-based planning sessions and am at my best devising systems that use resources in innovative ways to maximize impact. I feel confident steering a multi-pronged project from start to finish and enjoy working with a team to implement strategies that balance big-idea objectives with logistical realities.

I’ve written numerous project-specific feature articles and essays, marketing copy, grant proposals, study guides, speeches, and community education lectures. My playwriting has appeared on several stages and in the Lambda Literary Fellows’ 2018 Emerge anthology. I currently create, produce, and brand all content for Lumber Dandy & Friends, a narrative fiction podcast inspired by American tall tales.

I find fulfillment in the exchange of knowledge, particularly when I have the chance to examine complex subjects and share what I’ve learned in accessible ways. I’m grateful to have received an extensive academic education during which, among other things, I learned how to conduct successful research projects regardless of the topic. Some of my most cherished moments have been teaching seminars and facilitating learning panels for students, writers, and community members.

I’m a world-builder. Working dramaturgically with writers to develop scripts and celebrate their unique voices has given me the ability to look at a story from multiple angles and shift focus swiftly between them. I geek out analyzing narrative structure and exploring a project’s cultural significance. My approach also emphasizes the audience—keeping them in mind and continually questioning how to refine the experience they are being offered. And when it comes to the nitty-gritty of editing, scripts or otherwise, my goal is to polish text for clear communication that doesn’t sacrifice style.
